Child care and early education providers who are unable to secure business loans from conventional sources are especially encouraged to apply.

- purchase supplies and equipment—toys, computers, playgrounds, child-friendly furnishings…
- fulfill licensing requirements—egress windows, fences, bathrooms…
- help manage cash flow
- strengthen and grow child care businesses
Loans are available to…
Family child care in homes for $1,000 - $25,000, when the applicant:
- owns the home for which the loan is sought
- is licensed or registered by the appropriate state agency, or, for new businesses, will be licensed or registered as a result of the loan.
- is prepared to provide collateral and make an equity investment in the business.
- serves, or is prepared to serve, children whose families qualify to receive child care assistance.
Centers and schools, including Head Start for $1,000 - $125,000, when the applicant:
- owns or leases a facility.
- is licensed by the appropriate state agency as a new or established center or school, or will be licensed as a result of the loan.
- is prepared to provide collateral and make an equity investment in the business.
- serves, or is prepared to serve, children whose families qualify to receive child care assistance.
